While we're on the subject of pullies, the power steering pump pulley is not supposed to look like that, right?

Oh, I didn't even notice that. I was referring to the crack across the top. I occasionally hear a knocking coming from the from of the engine. Today is the first time I saw the crack.

I'm finally going to license this truck in the spring but the A/C hasn't worked for years my son in law told me. I see this setup on Amazon, a compressor, filter drier and orifice tube by AC Delco.

I've looked on Rock Auto as well but there are so many choices I am not sure what to buy. I'm going to get a new condenser as well but need some advice on these A/C parts. I assume I can't go wrong using the A/C stuff....?

Seems like a good kit. Anyone know if these will work on an '89 2500 with 5.7L using R134a. I believe the 94 and back used R12. Please correct me if I'm wrong with the properly linked info for R134a/R12.

Ok, I have a couple stupid questions, 1984 S-10 it's a 2.8 and my son wants to swap in a 1991 5.7 350, or a 2002 5.3 LS motor and transmission with both, Now for the stupid-- on a 91 5.7 350 is the intake the same as a older 350 say an 80"s, and where can I find somewhere to rewire for either of the 2 to put in the S-10. Thank You for the help.

No, the TBI intake manifold (87 - 95) has the center 2 bolts on each side drilled at ~72* instead of 90* but, people have worked around that.

There are companies like Painless that do that or some guys at GearHead-EFI.com You can also go to a bone yard and pull the ECM and wiring harness out of a corresponding truck.
