I got a lot done today, I unbolted the steering shaft and soaked the telescoping part with PB blaster, then I removed drivers side mounts (all 4), and loosened passenger mount half way. Lifted driver side, slid blocks in, started on passenger side, lower shroud got caught up, so I took it out and trimmed it to fit, put it back in, slid blocks in passenger side. Put Loc-tite on all bolts after all that. After truck is now in air, the steering shaft came apart, I put steering extension on upper part of shaft, then slid bottom part in, wouldn't slide so I clamped vise grips on the lower shaft, and tapped the vice grips to push shaft in extension.
After all that I figured I would pull the grommet out from under the truck that has tranny linkage, break the clip and stuff it back in. (F taking the seat out and pulling carpet, you don't need to).
What's the point of those tubes for the fan shroud to raise up 3 inches, when the top and bottom shroud move together, I don't get that.
All I have left to do tomorrow is finish mounting front bumper up, put grill on, upper shroud, parking lamps, then I gotta lift the box and cut that filler neck hose.
Can someone go in to DETAIL on how to do the filler next extension.
