My 1992 G20 van accessory setup I used on my 1983 used the driverside hole is for a compressor brace on its DA6 compressor. The front hole held the transmission dipstick tube.Hi all. Doing some long overdue maintenance on my 95 k2500. Must have missed taking pictures of this area before I tore it down, but can anyone help me identify the bolt holes in the manifold I have circled? Thanks in advance.
Same on my 88 for the tensioner but, the driver's side one is for the alternator top bolt hole. There's also a brace bar from the exhaust manifold that goes to the same bolt in the alternator. On my 91, the hole by the t-stat is for the bracket that holds the front drive tensioner, and the one on the driver's side is just empty.
Come to think about it, you're right. Mine's the same way.On my '88 K1500, the front hole is not used. The strut rod from the belt tensioner goes to a thermostat stud.
