heres an idea look in your local phonebook for a place that rebuilds them give them a call and see what it'll cost to have them beef yours up,we have a guy near me that does them rebuilt and bumped up to 200 amps for $75

I don't think the young 'uns even know a phone book is something other than that little icon on their smart phones!

Well, there's ONE small advantage to having a 6.5L - it's easy to add an alt! ;)

But unless you plan to drive around all day with the volume cranked, you'd probably get more benefit from a 2nd battery than from more alternator.

Someone got the ad244 to work in that thread if you read through it.

I happen to have a 160 amp one fs btw... ;)


Check post 49 of that thread, he said he only had to drill out one hole an swap the plug.
