What kind of fabric, if it matters, can I use for wrapping a box? Does it have to be the "carpet" or could you use a cotton polyester mix sheet fabric from Joanns.

I'm not really sure if it matters? My box for my truck doesn't have carpet, it was just rhino lined.

As long as the material has a backing or isnt so thin the glue seeps thru you can use about anything.

Parts express sells carpet by the yard, and you will also need a razor blade, straight edge and a spray can of 3m adhesive.

Alternatively you can use Duratex, or any bedliner spray on coating.

Duratex applies with a roller and a sample size kit would be enough to cover most average sized truck sub boxes.
