I don't know about other years but my '95 with a 5.7 can use two different orafice tube filters. One is designed for better perfomance in high temperature climates. But, yes even on a 90+ degree day I can turn my 'burb into a refrigerator in stop and go traffic.

That sounds nice - that's how my '00 Expedition was - meat locker like even on the hottest days.

Maybe my Burb is just a bit of a dud, ac wise. Though it's certainly better than it was before cleaning the coil, and does get pretty cold now when the weather is 95 or below.
