I do know this: the SS got ram air and was rated higher than the Z28 in terms of HP. The important thing is that car has the LS1. You'd think I'd know more as an owner.

In 87 my parents replaced the 71 Dart Swinger with an 82 Dodge Diplomat, dark blue with blue velour interior. Looked like a detective car, had a 318 so it sounded like one as well. I drove the wheels off it.

Just drove home behind a Laguna Green ecsb K1500 with what sounded like a 4.3. Looked pretty good, in the dark.

My grandmother drove her mother's 77 Volare off in a ditch once, and all it did to the car was slightly dent a hubcap. Still drove straight! That was a good car, except for the Carter 2 barrel carb. Those were notorious for being junk on the 318s.

My parents had a '76 or '77 Volare with the slant six. That's the car I first learned to wrench on. Every three months my dad would pay me $5 to change the oil. It had nearly 300,000 miles on it when they traded it in on an '87 Grand Voyager. At that time I'd never heard of a car with so many miles. The only problem that car had was that it drank about a quart of oil every two weeks.

My parents used to own one of these when I was pretty young. I believe it was a 1985 with the burgundy exterior and interior, and a 350 Olds Diesel.

Interesting that it has the regular 100mph cluster.
W/T 'Hoes are pretty rare though...only seen a couple of 2 door ones. Every once in a while I see a W/T Burb, those are not common either.

I’ve see a fleet of 2 door W/T Tahoe’s when I go hunting. I’ve never seen a 4 door W/T Tahoe. did they ever make a Yukon, I assume SL or W/T 4 or 2 door? What I know about this is only from the ones at the hunt club, 1 works hard and the other one has a bunch of mystery holes. Wonder where those came from?
