This reminds me of a similar setup I seen at a Chevy dealer brand new back in the late 80s, early 90s.

The ones I seen back then, the rear suspension was hydraulicly controlled somehow, and would drop the deck to the ground, so no ramps. Pretty crazy looking.

Front wheel drive running through the stock transfer case and front differential and CV axles. This seems like a recipe for disaster on something that is designed to haul heavy loads on a regular basis!
