I got a set of step bars for free. They were off a chev of some kind, but the previous owner cut the brackets with a sawzall. I also have some family members tipping the scales at over 300lbs that I drive around in my truck on occasion. With all of this in mind, out came the welder and the fun began. They arent on yet, but getting there.

test mounting with clamps so I knew how big and where to mount them

you don't have to prove anything to us sully. :joke:

But for real I try to make my vehicles as impractical as possible so that nobody over the age of 30 ever has the urge to get in it.

 I'm not a fan of them either. My mom (who I have been told is very good looking by pretty much ALL of my friends) complains all the time about getting into my 88. She wants me to put the set of stainless step bars I have which were on the 02 when I got it. I tell her no, if she can't get in then she doesn't need to go anywhere with me.

They should look good on your truck though, ties together nice with the wheels.
