Do I need to recalibrate my speedometer for a 4 inch spindle lift and 285/70r17 tires?

Your speedo will read a little slow with the larger tires so if you want it to be accurate you'll need to have it recalibrated

How much will it be off? is it worth the money to get a recalibrator?

If you have 245s it will be around 7% off...if you have 265s it will be about 3.5% off with the new tires. Not worth getting recalibrated IMO, just keep it in mind when you're driving at highway speeds

Is recalibrating something a shop can do or do I need to do it myself?

Under the photo there's a "instructions" button click it and then click on the pdf and it shows the instructions that will come with it. There will be a few wires to run and you'll have to remove the glovebox to access the vehicle speed sensor
