Could loose spark plug wires cause an ignition coil to go bad or possibly the distributor to burn up? 95 5.7 with MPFI and it had the SLIGHTEST misfire and an EXTREMELY hard start (5-10 times before it starts and sometimes would have to wait 30 minutes or an hour to fire up) and we checked all the plugs and wires and about 6 of them weren't fully "snapped" onto the distributor. It seemed to help the hard start quite a bit but still has the issue to a certain extent (5-6 times before it starts up).

That's not good. And I would think it would damage either because its constantly using spark.... I recently put my stock manifolds back in and the plug wires weren't snapping in. I just bought new ac delco and they snapped right in. I used dielectric grease so it has a pump effect lol. I just twisted a little and pushed.
