Picked this up today. From looking on Ebay it seems like a good price at $350. This one has 9.4 software.
Tested it out as much as i could with the sellers help and it seems to work fine. It does need a battery as it will not charge and the cord and piece that plugs into the OBD port is beat up but usable.
Hard case, manuals and unopened CD's
Now i can get some good data and do my own crank relearn! Need to figure out how to use it.

Assuming it works right, you're gonna love it. The danger in not having a battery is that the machine does not like having the power interrupted. Supposedly can corrupt the software, although the few times mine has shut down like that, it seems to still work right. You'll want to shut down the machine with the power button and "Yes" button BEFORE disconnecting the diagnostic link (ALDL) connector.

Let us know if it will do an ABS auto-bleed on GMT400s. I heard that functionality wasn't added until one of the 2010 upgrades (10.2 or 10.4). My 8.2 software will not auto-bleed GMT400s, a 14.2 will.

From the literature it says from 8.4? I think auto bleed was added.

Shop carefully for the battery replacement. Lots of sketchy batteries out there and you don't want a tragedy in your vehicle or home because the battery went nuclear.

6.2 and 8.2 would both auto-bleed my '03 Trailblazer. Neither would auto-bleed a GMT400. So it kinda depends on WHAT auto-bleed functions were added.

It'd be nice if 8.4 had auto-bleed for...everything...at least up to the years the software was supposedly intended for. I don't know if 8.4 will or not--but I heard from another source that there was a major upgrade AFTER the support for the MT/MTG2500 ended in '09, so heaps of stuff was added for the 10.x software.

Ok although i was tired, it was raining, Felt like -40, and dinner was almost done i pushed through the hostile elements and battling hunger i made it out to the truck and plugged the scanner in. Just for you guys and this is what i found.
The scanner has the ABS bleed option. When i push Y it says "see service information" It is reported to bleed ABS on our trucks with 9.4 software. So i need to play with it more as i did not look any further.
Also looked at some freeze frame data and it had a code P1133 B1S1o2 sensor. insufficient switching. I don't know if thats from today or a year ago. No way to tell when as far as i could tell. Looks like im changing that o2 sensor but watching the Voltage it is switching normally.
