Going to copy this over from my CBRForum.com account and start a log over here for opinions and help and such.

Sort of new to bikes, had an SV650 before I joined the military. Went and bought this bike and figured I'd start a thread to keep track of the work I do to it and get opinions and ideas from everyone.

A few details:
2002 Honda CBR600F4i
954 Front fork swap with all components (NSN brakes, controls, ect.)
HotBody's Undertail with LEDs
Black Metallic paint (New Ford Mustangs come with it)
Custom Candy blue powdercoated frame
Custom painted tank (PO ordered it online painted like it is, but never got the chance to PTM the black, will be repainted most likely next summer)
Delkevic exhaust
Slightly shaved seat

And literally a whole truck load of extra parts that need to go on or have come off

Plans:
Repaint tank to match black plastics, possibly POW*MIA logo or something airbrushed
Swap headlights to Ducati half fairing light setup or something different, PTM black or blue
Drop it ~1-2" for a more comfortable ride, or til I get used to the bike at least
Hide wiring and tubing better
Custom make cowl to cover front of tank/up to trees

Let me know what you think! Opinions and questions all welcome!

The first time I've used the hitch since I've bought the truck :icon_pimp:

Black powder coated dogbones showed up today and was quick to bolt them on. Came with a stock, -1", and -3" drop, and I went with the 1 for now, as the 3" drop seemed too drastic and the tire was dang close to my plate in the rear anyways. And it IS possible to change your links and dogbones by yourself, no need for a friend! It would have been nice to have though.

Now I gotta do something with the kickstand, it stands almost straight up now.

Cut ~1" off the kickstand and welded on a bigger foot for it, plan to reshape it soon. Just needed to get it leaning again.

Now I plan on just taking everything off and giving it a good scrub and repaint if its black or rusted. Going to give the headers a nice heat treated black spray hopefully. They look out of place with the rest.

Just another quick picture I grabbed after I loaded up my gear on it. Still rode like a dream, didn't even feel it back there.

PreLoad is still set to 5 and can't get it to crank down to 2 or so.

And the new gear I picked up. Can't beat the price of FREE for a MotoGP Kangaroo leather jacket and new in box helmet.

Did a little work last night on it, taking advantage of this long weekend. Going to do sort of a "How To" write up to track it.

I decided to do the infamous Rear Shock Reservoir can cover, and it was between these two to use.

Decided on the Red Bull can, Its just slightly bigger than the reservoir.

Just a poser shot inside, I take alot of pictures if you haven't noticed yet.

The reservoir is ~4" from end to end, with the knob protruding a big on the end, and then the hose and connections on the front end.

I decided I wanted to keep the can intact, so I drilled out the bottom to drain it.

I used a hole saw to cut out the bottom, but it didnt turn out quite like I hoped

So I pulled out my dremel and cut away along the ridge on the bottom of the can.

Now the can will be bigger around than the reservoir, which is why most people cut the backside of the can and just wrap it. I used some velcro strips I had laying around to make up that space, and made a nice snug fit.

Then I had some extra LED strips laying around from my truck, and I decided to see how they look. Squidtastic, I know, but I dont roll around with them on. Just parking lot show. I only ride with them on if I feel I need that extra visibility. And it really shines at night.

Just one strip under the swingarm.

I dont have alot of plastic on mine so I had to route the wires inside and hide the strips. Took some trial and error but found some good places.

Popped on the new Moose Racing headlight after I cut down the top. It wont fit right.

Now to find out what I wanna do about the front, since I dont have fairings to mount more strips to. Any ideas?

The new LED bar showed up today. Going to be replacing the cheapo headlight with this.

Fits the forks perfectly. Going to be putting it in the same spot as the headlight thats on it now. Fabbing up a sort of clamp bracket for each fork to mount it to.

LED bar (mind you, its not adjusted and not completely dark out. The picture doesn't do it justice).

Also got the new Continentals in. Can't wait to get them mounted up.

New rear seat on its way, that way I can take off the cargo net.
