Here’s my 94 k1500 standard cab short bed. It’s been sitting since 2019 because it failed inspection because of rust at the radiator support. I miss driving this truck. My wife said either fix it or get out of the driveway. So I’m taking her word as restore it!! The only thing different as you see it now, I took the good 265 tires off of it and put them on my other truck.

It's not without its war wounds, but it sounds like nothing that can't be fixed with some time, money and skill. If you don't have a welder, get one, learn how to use it fixing up your truck. Or find someone with the machine and skills to help. These trucks are worth saving, it looks too good to be used for "organ donation". Good luck and lots of pics if you decide to move forward, and lots of knowledge here to help along the way.

I wouldn't use it as an "organ donation" truck either. However, the rust issue is definately something to think about. If you're a body guy and capable of doing the work then keep it. Or get a good friend to assist. Fix it with a fresh coat of paint and you can enjoy the truck for another several years to come. Body style is worth keeping. Question is - do you still have the passion to take on the job?

I won’t be using it as a donor. There’s not to many good parts on it worth donating to another truck. I’m excited about putting it back to panty dropper status. I have a welder, hot wrench, and big ass sledge hammer for the trouble areas too. This spring ill take the bed and front end off the truck to really look at the frame before I decide to fix it or not. I posted a few pictures of the frame on the forum.

Restore it ,sb reg cab shortbox 4x4 black auto gray interior ,awesome truck man well worth the time and money as long as the frame is good.
Here’s the frame…
So far this is the only issue I saw from under the truck. I know the spare tire carrier crossmember will need some attention too.
