My apologies, i misunderstood your reasoning for leaving the spiders in.
Some teeth are missing on every gear and thats causing them to jump and bind when it barely moves. Spider gears could be left in, but I'd like to try and get as much out, cleaned, and ready for the new ones so I get my truck back ASAP.
I could leave the two side spiders in to hold the clips, to move it.

they would come out with no pin in the middle.

If you have 2 good ones or decent ones you may be able to put them in and then install the pin and bolt. I would think that would work ok.
