Guess it wasn't a "random" misfire after all.

This is why I harp on misfire COUNTS per individual cylinder. You'd have seen this easily--two cylinders would be sky-high, and the rest probably at "0".

Well I figured even my cheap scanner would throw the appropriate code. Before when I had a crappy poppet I had a p0302 code and then a p0304. I figure it would be cylinder specific code.

I really need to find a good scanner to view enough live data to help diagnose things. One that won't break the bank.
