raising xover pipe?

Has anyone raised their exhaust themselves after bagging their truck? If so how did u do it? I.e. where did u cut etc......i caould goto a muffler shop but would rather save my cash....

i had a shop do mine, was less than $100. dont see how you could get the bends without the proper machine

I like the driver's side to go down beside the trans and cross over just behind the tailshaft, both my 95 and my 96 are done that way.

i just had mine re-done a couple weeks ago. instead of crossing over under the torque converter, mine now crosses over behind the trans. cross member.

Oh ok i see...i was thinkin it was as simple as cuttin a 1 in. section out an welding it back together...looks like ill have to wait a bit to cut my cups so i can save the cash to have it done...

i didn't want to raise mine and risk more heat at the torque converter.. so i went with the re-route.
