Radio noise and poor reception

Hey,
i installed a aftermarket deck in my 93 because the stock deck wasn't working.

The problem im having is the reception is poor on all but one or two channels with the truck running. Shut off and on accessory its fine.

Its got new spark plugs, wires and cap and rotor button so I cant see them being the problem.

Any ideas?

Are you getting the noise in AM or FM...or both?

AM being a lower frequency band will get more static etc. FM should not. Wondering if your antennae cable or the antennae itself is damaged?

Actually I haven't tryed Am. But I notice it on Fm
