Quick question....

Changing my pitman arm and this was in the way of the steering gear bolts. It's hanging down in the pic.
What is it?

Are you referring to, ( I'm guessing here) the three inch square box? You didn't say what year, it's kinda important, since we can't see your truck, probably the impact sensor for airbags crash things.

Yes. It's a 96 K1500.
That makes sense as I think it's connected to the color coded airbag harness, as far as I can tell.
