question i installed the over head console but harness is different

so i took a over head console out of a truck at the junkyard and i finally got around to putting it in.i cut the harness outta the truck i got it from and it has two wires and orange and a black.well when i cut open my headliner to put it in i see that my harness is orange,black,brown.does anyone know whats the difference? can i just knock off the two matching colors

to tell the truth iv pulled so many of the overheads outta the trucks at the junkyard i cant even remember lol.it became a habit.but im sure i can tap into the matching colors i was just wondering what my truck had a extra wire for and what did it do thats all

I believe the brown is parking light for home link button illumination
If you don't have console with home link you just need orange and black connection
