I have a 1998 K2500 ECSB in Silverado trim and I'd like to confirm if the original (now missing) cab emblems would have been the "LT" or "Silverado" ones.

Thank you.

Silverado trim would have a Silverado emblem. I'm not familiar with LT on our trucks, but the 99 GMT-400 is LS instead of Silverado....at least for 1-tons.

Yup. 1998 GMT400 still retained the Silverado and Cheyenne (and W/T 1500) package names. Wasn't until 1999 that the GMT800-style package names came along - LS, LT packages on the 1999 GMT400 SUV's. Not 100% sure the 1999 Silverado Classic pickup got those package names, and the info from GM's Heritage Center is a little less than helpful because the 1999 C/K pickup packet looks like a literal copy of 1998.

Yes the utes for 99 have the LS/LT emblem behind the second door pillar, or on the pillar behind the door on the 2drs. LS trim level has cloth seats, LT has leather. And sometimes you don't get an emblem on both sides, that's how my truck was when I got it.
