Can you post your existing ECM number and prom code?

Attached is list of many, many MEMCAL broadcast codes including BDTP, showing the associated engine, transmission, and (sometimes) rear end code.

I would view this data as informative but not necessarily definitive.

For BDTP is says:

YEAR:1994
EPROM: 16189380
ECM: 16171199
PROM ID: 9382
SCAN ID: 8715
ENGINE: L05
DISP: 5.7
TRANS: MT8
TRANS TYPE: MAN

There was at one time a Windows application that would allow one to look up the details for different MEMCAL broadcast codes. I have it on an old laptop but I'm not certain where I found it... TunerCat has it, I bet. Look for their program CALDATA, here: http://www.tunercat.com/caldata_desc/caldata_desc.html

I have an aftermarket Jet prom that came from my 91 with a 5.7 and a 5speed manual. It has the selector switch so you can tune for different power levels and a valet mode to limit it to 10MPH. You can also turn off the ECM to stop it from being stolen. I pulled it when I replaced the engine because I used a different camshaft and I didn’t think it would work. I had a custom chip burned for my needs.

That I don’t know. I thought they were the same from 88-95. But there is a good chance that I’m wrong about that.

I thought 94+ ecms were different. Maybe @PlayingWithTBI or @Schurkey would know?
They're all ODDI with an EPROM but, the 94 & 95 are probably the 16197427 PCM (there are others) if you have an automatic trans, other ECMs for a manual. The chips are 28 pin instead of the 24 pin earlier ECMs have. 96+ are "flash" PCMs with no chip. YMMV
