Waffling on paint again. What are your thoughts?

The way it is now:

Option 1 paint on body only, none on flairs:

Option 2 paint on body and half of the flair:

Option 3 apint on body and all of the flair:

I left the photochopped PY0 rims off and the truck cap is still white but the cap will eventually go body color and the rims will be PY0's. It's just gonna take a couple years to get there.

It's getting some paint due to rust repair and I can't afford a full on job and color matching isn't an option either (besides, that never comes out right).

The body panels will also be getting rocker guard, but the flairs will not no matter what the paint scheme.

The front and rear bumpers will also be getting a coat of the lower body color.

The wife likes option 1, I'm warmer to option 2 and neither of us like option 3......

On my dad's dakota he had to do the same rust repair. He left his flares alone with just the rockers black and it kinda sticks out like a sore thumb IMO. But also its your ride, go with your preferences :)

I have seen some trucks, hoes and suburban with painted flares and rockers. Might be able to find something similar on Google to go off of. Could have different angles and such.

I like option 3. The other 2 don't look complete to me..

Maybe a little easier to picture it with rims and painted cap:

I think option 3 looks really nice and seems to be a better option IMHO

Option 3 flows the best and looks like a paint scheme that GM could have come up with for a two tone option.

That's the problem, I'm not a fan of GM's painted flair paint scheme. Always reminded me of a clown face or an 80 year old's truck from side on.

Seems that's the popular one so far though.

I'm warming up to the wife's choice (option 1) the more I look at them.

Of course, with option 1 I can always paint the flairs to match further down the road if I change my mind.....
