nv4500 clutch problem

I have an nv4500 with a hays super truck clutch kit in my truck. Brand new master cylinder and slave, it wont engage the clutch enough to shift smoothly. Has anyone ran into this problem? or anyone fixed this prob with an adjustable throw out bearing?

Exact setup i'm running in my 88, and I don't have an issue. Are you sure the slave is utilizing it's full stroke?

I have the same setup in my '90. No issues so far.

I'm gonna try bleeding it. The pedal has an inch or two of freeplay before it feels firm. I bought it as a filled and complete system. Master, line and slave all filled and ready to go. Must have some air in it

i thought i bled the system properly by pumping a few times and holding to the floor and cracking the bleeder on the slave then tightening. like brake bleeding. this time i took the resevoir cap off and pumped the slave cylinder slowly and fully, maybe a dozen times. lots of bubbles came up until just fluid. way more pedal and shifts smooth
