according to research, they're only able to handle up to 300ftlbs of tq.

im currently building and swapping my v6 for a used .020 350w/ 217 heads... factory numbers on the 350 is 210hp/300ftlbs and im considering upgrading the cam which would improve those numbers.


eventually i do plan on a 4500 swap but for now the 3500 will have to surfice. my logic is says if i drive it like a normal daily driver ill never get near peak torque and will be just fine. has anbody pushed more than 300 ft lbs with this trans with no issues?

Lost of people run a big ass built engine with no issues, then there are lots of people who can't keep one together behind a stock 305 or 350. I reckon it's hit or miss and driving style. If you are nice to her, she should last long enough to swap out.
