Trying to figure out why the cruise doesn't work in my 98 hoe. I was told it could be the brake switch, which is a major PITA to replace, it didn't fix it. All fuses are good, everything seems to be fine other than that. Possibly unit is bad?

Possibly the multi function switch " turn signal stalk" . The switchs for the cruise are on it and maybe not working. Something to check, good luck!

I can take it off my Yukon, it worked in that one, and since the motor is junk, it won't mind lol..

My issues in the past have been either the brake light switch or the multi function switch.

That right up is for an older truck, but does it apply to a 98 as well? Does the turn signal pull out the same way?

No, you have to take the covers off the column. If I remember correctly there's a couple small Torx screws on the bottom cover.
