Just did the headliner in my 1989 K1500 single cab. Get headliner specific material with foam backing. I got mine off Ebay. Arrived with lots of permanent creases so had to get seller to resend which they did. Second shipment not much better, but I applied tension while installing and it went away. Lessons learned: have excess material around the edges so when pressing down to fill the sun visor depressions, there was still enough to tuck under. To ensure good adhesion, spray both fabric and the headliner TWICE and let it set up. I only did it once the sunvisor area is a bit loose. Overall it was good and compared to the floppy headliner is great. Well worth the effort. However getting the trim out was a nightmare with some broken plastic.
