What size Socket do I need for removing the nut on front hubs? 1997 c1500 single cab short bed if it matters. I’m not home to measure and I was going to stop by and pick one up on my way.

Also, the drain plug on nv3500 is a 17mm Allen correct?

Just use a pair of pliers after taking the cotter pin out it’s not tight at all
I get that, I would still like to get the socket however, especially to re-install. I’ve always done this with a ratchet/socket, and we all tighten based on feel. Don’t want to change my ways lol.

I’m seeing M20-1.25 thread, 30mm hex on rock auto for the actual nut. So a 30mm socket. Can Anyone confirm? It’s like a 20 min trip each way to return the socket if it’s wrong lol

I think i skated by with maybe a 32mm but that was on 4wd. I'd say just take it off with pliers n take it with you to pick out socket or buy 2 or 3 sockets, return what you don't need.
