i'll have to pick up a donor body panel from the junk yard to cut on for parts. I have my stock hood from the green truck, but it's in great shape other than the paint.

i am concerned the 3rd brake light is a potential "leak" waiting to happen.

The small sheets at Lowes and Home Depot are only a hair thicker than the factory sheet metal.. they work great for shaving stuff, and they run like 6-8 bucks...lol my tag box is made from it, and my stake pockets and tailgate handle were shaved with it.. ive been usen scrap body pieces cause they are free

my lowes has several different thicknesses panels you can buy. thats what i just got to make my rear 6x9 panels and covers for my impala. used the thicker steel for more strength.
the only problem i have with fillers is the time needed for welding and grinding them!!!!!!!! im not patient enough and i put to much heat from either the welder or grinder and it warps
