I have a truck that the transmission had gone out in. I had a transmission from a 1991 Chevy pickup that was involved in a wreck.
It sat in a storage building for 6 years. I changed the fluid and filter.
I install it in the truck and everything works but I have no Overdrive. It shifts to 4th but the RPMs just continue to climb. moments later Im turning 2400 RPM at 60 MPH.
How can this be fixed?
Or does it have to be replaced?
Truck Information:
Year: 1992
Make: GMC
Model: Sierra C1500 (Extended Cab)
Trim level: Sierra (Auto windows, auto locks, A/C, etc)
Tire condition: Fair
Tire size: 31x10.5/R15
Engine: 350 5.7 V8 TBI
Transmission: 700 R4
4WD?: No
