I figured I'd show the other side of the build spectrum from our trucks and share my 240sx build. I'm already pretty far so I'll share what I've done so far. Pictures aren't necessarily in any specific order, just showing all the progress.

When I bought the car, it barely ran. It had a SR20DET [2.0L turbo'd 4-cylinder imported from Japan] already swapped into it when I bought it. Had tune issues and wouldn't go over 2500 RPMs. To make a long story short, I got sick of pissing around with it and after 8 months of a non-running car, I pulled the engine and sold it a couple days later. I stumbled upon my dream engine on craigslist, and it came with a ton of parts for the swap. I talked him down to the same price I sold the SR20 for and snatched it up.

Pictures of the car:

When I bought the car, it had no seats...

So I got a passenger seat from craigslist for $20 and got this for me:

I installed a switch panel and reassembled my interior as well:

The VH intake is covered in EGR hoses which I'm not using so I cleaned it all up:

Dad and I switched stalls in the shop, he's going to start working on his car again.

So I took some pictures while we were outside.

Cool. Thanks for sharing. I think in the other thread I asked about mating the 5 speed trans ot the V8. I see a 'clean' adapter plate in your pics. Was it a ready made piece? How about flywheel and clutch? Since that V8 wasn't available with a manual trans I am wondering. Also I'm thinking a Nissan Hardbody with this driveline in it :)

Thanks guys!

The adapter plate was made by Xcessive Manufacturing, to mate the VH and Z32 tranny. I used a twin turbo Z32 clutch and flywheel. There are some custom modifications you need to do yourself such as cutting out the old automatic bushing on the back of the crankshaft and putting in an adapter which includes a manual bushing. A VH hardbody would be badass!
