Meaning of the term "take off"?

I have heard of take off rims and recently seen an ad for "complete take off bed including tailgate and taillights". What does "take off" mean? Is it a certain desing or body style or what?

When somebody is either parting out their vehicle or they bought new wheels and are selling the factory ones

Exactly they are parts that are "taken off" the truck

Factory take offs are just when somebody orders a truck and for example wants a flat bed so the brand new box comes off and a flat bed gets put on. so the bed is a factory take off
