Manual to electronic climate control swap

Hello there, new to this site, got an 88 GMC c1500 eclb this week. Would like to know if anyone as ever tempted to swap manual climate control to electronic? Wonder if it's possible? How about install an A/C?

it can be done but will be very time consuming and probably expensive to
the hard part will be the wiring. as u might know the manual uses cables for the blend doors as the electronic uses motors
and to add ac you would have to find a box that has an Evaporator core
