Hey guys I’m trying to finish up the wiring on my swap and I’ve run into an issue, the truck is a 96 1/2 ton 350 truck, the motor is a 2002 5.3 with 4l60. So Far I’ve been trying to fit everything into the 96 under hood fuse box, but right now I’m having to take all the pink wires from the c2 block and run them to ignition hot run/crank sources on the truck, and It seems like all the points on the fuse box with ignition hot are fed directly from the ignition switch with no relay, I’m hesitant to run all these wires to these points in fear of overloading the ignition switch. Am I missing something here?

At this point I’m thinking I’ll either have to add a small fusebox with space for 1 relay and 4 fuses or something like that, or I toyed with the idea of using the slot for the A.I.R. Relay and repowering the fuses on the fusebox with that in order to take the stress off the ignition switch, but I’m not sure that the biggest rated relay for that slot will be sufficient.

Thanks in advance

I just did a secondary relay/fuse box. Typical 3 wire hookup.

I have the Holley EFI so that relay to the fuel pump from Holley harness is mounted behind the factory cover and goes to battery, then I added another relay with 12V power from distribution block hooked to pink wire to trigger Holley system - throttle body, Hyperspark box, and Hyperspark distributor. The 22 gauge trigger wires are 0.5 amp so all three are triggered by relay and switched ignition. Confirmed with Holley the low amp stuff trigger wires could be wired together. Should be enough room for you to add a relay there.

Excuse the dangling wires engine isn’t in truck yet.
