heres a build tread of my 1994 gmc sierra

Back before i got my license my dad picked up this truck to plow with after losing the intake gaskets in his obs 1999 k2500 burb and we started to fix it needed front fenders cab corners and a rocker panel. After we got it home we found out it burned alot of oil but we figured we got it for the right price so we would buy a junkyard motor. we got the truck for 500 and it started out from there.

Specs 1994 Gmc K-1500 Z71 Loaded. had 198k on it bone stock (Now has a blown tranny only 1st and 3rd but still drive it all the time)

What we have done so far

My local junk yard got a 1998 gmc through cash for clunkers the truck was really clean and not a spot of rust on it it had 115k on it clean non smoker interior so we started to strip all the body panels off from it we ended up getting the whole truck minus the motor and trans and doors for cheap

-the entire nose
-Back body
-60/40 bench with center

were striped from that and onto the plow truck

picked up a motor for 150 good running and low miles

added a step n tow bumper and started driving it

one i got my license i got the truck from my dad to drive with since my 88 wasnt done at the time.

since that point my dad says the truck went down hill from there but he has licked everything ive done to it so far

i added
-headache rack
-plow light
-dual exhaust
-lighted visor
-tool box
-shorty headers
-tinted windows
-cb radio
-truck bed coated the rockers

I have done alot with this truck ive hauled junk, mudding/ 4wheeling, Truck pulling and plowing this thing is a tank even with a blown tranny

heres some pics of how i got it done have any pics of when we bought it

i plan on taking the truck off the road here in the next week or so to fix a few things and possibly finish painting
-it i have a crack in the frame i have to fix
-tranny for it
-some true dual pipes i got off a 1998 gmc with the 350 plan on running true dual flowmaster super 40s
-Need to do ball joints and tie rod ends
-pass side wheel bearing

Im trying to find some 3/4 or 1 ton torsion bars because mine have sagged since i cranked them and im going to remove the 3 inch block in favor for add a leafs and 1 inch blocks

my dad picked up a 1998 gmc with a 305 that ill be putting a tranny in this week as soon as his truck is done i will take this off the road for some much needed attention

I would remove the visor and paint her BLACK! haha just my opinion, though. Awesome ride, shame about blowing it up.

im not crazy over a black truck and i love the visor its the lighted one so it looks sweet at nite

Whats going on with the 88? Looks like you put alot of work into it for it to be still blown up.

i planned on parking it for the winter so i have not bothered with a motor so i'm going to save up and build a motor for it on the spring
