Yup, no caliper bolsters / abutments to manage the braking forces.
There's a disc conversion kit out there, somewhere, I've seen for the GMT400s that overcomes one shortcoming of the Little Shop kit (and other kits like it), on first glance anyway.

It uses a more recent caliper bracket and caliper assy, akin to this one pictured, with abutments (which Little Shop doesn't have) which properly transfer the braking forces back to the mounting bracket.

The kit I saw didn't have a parking brake though. Maybe there's another, somewhere, that does.

And unless the mounting bracket's quite rigid, the caliper will tend to twist during braking.

is it the caliper or the mounting bracket that doesnt have the "abutment", not really sure what part that is or where it supposed to be on the LS mfg kit

The bracket to which the caliper is bolted-to should have the abutments.

I tried to illustrate this using the GM rear disc brakes as an example in another post. See here: https://www.gmt400.com/threads/need...c-conversion-on-drw-dually.59842/post-1279709. The entire thread, there, is relevant
I found the picture that made it clear to what they are lacking, i say you probably saved me quite a bit of money. i think that getting the CM spacer and building my own NBS OEM kit may be the way to go

@caw_86, I may not have completely answered this question of yours.

If you look back at my earlier post (https://www.gmt400.com/threads/little-shop-mfg-rear-disc-installed.48588/post-1252997) you'll see a newer-design caliper pictured there. THAT caliper is mounted by a bracket (the "caliper bracket") which also has pad abutments cast into it.

The abutments are indicated in the picture below. The caliper bracket, by way of its abutments and mounting bosses, conveys the braking forces from the brake pads directly to the mounting structure (knuckle / backing plate / bracket / whatever). This is the intended operation, "as designed".

The kit supplied by Little Shop / LSM (as often discussed on GMT400) supports its caliper poorly, i.e., not as the original (GM / OEM) design intended. See pictures illustrating this shortcoming here
