Later style dash interchangeability

I’ve got a 98 K2500 with a horribly broken dash. I’ve been crawling the local listings for a replacement to swap.

Are all the 95-98 style dashes interchangeable?

Does the presence or lack of a passenger airbag make a difference? (Mine has the 2500/3500 cubby in place of an airbag)

You can put the 95-96 dash shell in there, just be sure to get the long piece of black ductwork that goes with it because they don't swap between the 95-96 and 97-98 dash.

you can use any 95-01 gmt400 dash.

if using a 95-96, get the long black upper air vent pc., it is diff than yours.
also, 95 has a 1yr only ashtray assembly.
96 uses the same ashtray assembly as your 98.

as far as the cubby vs airbag on the 97+, just swap out the airbag for the cubby, its just a bolt in pc.

just use your wiring harness in case of any variances.
