Seems like no one wants to tune a 97, but no problem with 98+.

Black Bear Performance can tune '96-'97 black box PCMs, no problem. They tuned my red '97 and have been very willing to work with me when I wanted to change things up. I'd definitely recommend them, here's a link.

Could be Tunercats then. I think that's what we used on my Camaro with its 93 only ECM that uses PROM chips.

I have searched high and low trying to find any kind of specs on this lt1 cam I have. It's an lt1 HO from a 93' firebird stamped 241, I've measured the base and lobe height on both intake and exhaust and using 1.6 rockers I come up with approx. .488 lift. I'm trying to determine the duration and centerline. Any thoughts on how to get this info? Use a degree wheel?

I don't know the specifics of that particular grind, but all the stock LT1 cams are 202/207 @ .050 plus or minus a couple degrees and 115-117 LSA depending on the year. There's not enough difference between them that you'd notice.

Oh well, Fuq it! I'm still running it no matter. Maybe it'll have a mild lope or maybe not.

Found this for a 94

94

204/205 .450/.460 114lsa

I found a sight with more clues. These specs are for a 94 with 1.5 rockers. From what I gather the 93 was a 205/207 .460/.470 with 114lsa on 1.5 rockers. So by my primitive calculations. I should get 206/207 .490/.501 @ 114lsa. Oh jeez! Who the heck cares, it's just a cam! LOL!

Just look up a few videos of stock LT1 F-bodies and Corvettes idling if you want to know what it will sound like. It won't lope, but it can sound nice with the right exhaust. My 93 Z28 sounded great with headers and a Borla cat back.
