Installing a keyless entry from a 97

I was wondering if I can take the keyless entry system from my 97 parts truck and put it into my 94?

i havent done this swap, but i dont see why you couldnt, I hooked up a keyless entry system on a dodge, and we tapped off the battery, the ignition, threw in a couple relays tapped off the power door locks, made sure it was all grounded and boom! she worked!

I believe there was also a Module the remote activated to get it all goin.


If you do it...........a writeup with pictures would be greatly appreciated.

pics and a write up would be awesome, like stated definitely doable. pull up a diagram and look at it theres not much difference between the lock, window and starter wiring for these trucks at all.

Im gonna say no, its not complex enough to require it, Have you pulled it off or located it on the 97?

worst case scenario, a keyless entry system is 40 bucks.

Does anyone know if it is actually contained in the power lock/window harness? My old truck had keyless, and i swapped the door/window harness into my new truck. Should the new truck now have keyless?

I went out to look at my parts truck and realized I have no clue where the module thing is. Does anyone know?

Factory rke trucks and non rke trucks are pretty much completely different.

4 door trucks are wired like 2 door rke trucks.

Its all in the wiring diagrams section. All ya gotta do is look.
