ignition lock?

Help! i went to start my truck tonight, had drove it earlier no problem, and it wont start. The ignition turns forward to power but not start, or doesnt engage. It was old and would let the key out when rinning but now it can turn forward if you jam it enough without the key. Do you guys think something broke inside or maybe another problem? also how difficult is it to take out and or test?

Sounds like you need a new tumbler. I have the same problem with mine from time to time and I just jiggle the key till it clicks forward. I can also take the keys out and leave the truck running haha its nice sometimes.
