I forgot to ask the local body shop how they did it. Place I recommend Wreck and Roll auto body on Western Ave.

I've got a "shin buster* out in the garage waiting for paint and installation. Obviously I don't need the step, but I like the look. The newer version with the deeper steps have recesses in the bottom for tailpipes (like Dodge did 10 years ago) so I didn't want one of those.
