Craig here, love the site! Lot of good information on here. Decided to join and hopefully help others along the way.

I have a 97 C1500 Sierra and doing the 5.3 swap. Completely restoring/refinishing the truck and wanted to step up from the 4.3 that was in it. It was my Dad's truck so it holds a lot of sentimental value, and trying making it perfect.

I work for Toyota for 10+ years, if anyone has questions about their Toyota I would be happy to help.

Welcome from Columbia, MO! Good to see more Missouri members on here lately.

I've also got a '97 C1500 4.3L truck that was my dad's, the red one in my signature. Small world! It's going to get a 6.0L LQ4 at some point so I'll be curious to see your progress on the 5.3L swap. I've already swapped in a 4L80E and I'm working on tracking down a 454SS rear axle.

@df2x4 That's awesome! I would love to do a 4L80E swap I just haven't done enough research yet. I had a roommate at Wyotech with a 454SS that was a fun truck, gutless but fun haha! My project will take some time, and another $10k according to my spreadsheet
