So the other day i got my led 3rd brake light in from eBay. when i hooked it up to my truck the light would be constantly on when my interior dome light turned off with the truck on or off. I could not figure out why but got on here and saw that it is hooked up to the same power as the interior lights. I got a tester and tested my trucks harness and found the hot wire and then removed the wire off my new light that matched up with it. it now works properly with the brake light and cargo light switch.
just thought id write this up because I've seen a lot of people having this problem with their 3rd brake lights.
