I picked up a companion rig for my 2000 Chevy. Found a really clean 1999 GMC Suburban 2500 SLT with the 454. There’s already a parts list of plain old maintenance items. It needs a radiator and valve cover gaskets first, followed by freshening up the front end. She’s making noises while turning and wandering. Already did the basic tuneup, blend door motor, headlight switch, and tail light circuit board.

There is a small used car lot not far from me that seems to have a lot of OBS trucks/SUVs. Not sure where they are getting them, but I would have a hard time believing they came from around here with all the snow and salt they spread here in NE Ohio.

Quite a few come from the PNW. There are a couple of outfits that specialize in GMT400s and OBS Fords. You’ll find them on eBay asking a small fortune.

Both of mine were Craig’s List finds.
