I put a 3" single thrush welded on my 96 sierra RCSB. It sounds mean and has a nice rumble on the outside, but it's just has too much resonance from 1,400 rpms to 1,600 rpms and I do a lot of city driving so it's starting to bug me. I've read that if you cut the last bend off the tailipipe it would get rid of this? Also its a 96 with stock tailpipe so it has that wierd tip thing that bends down so maybe thats causing it? I'm actually considering putting the stock muffler back on because it's really getting annoying! The main reason I bought this muffler is because everyone said it would be quiet in the cab, but it may be louder because its a SWB truck so the pipe is closer to the cab.
