I’m trying to delete the PCM on my 1998 K2500 Cummins swap and rewire my factory fuel gauge.

Truck was originally a gasser with a single fuel tank.

Pin 13 on PCM connector C3 (grey/clear) is “Fuel Level Module” coming in from the in-tank sender and pin 9 on PCM connector C1 (blue) is “Fuel Gauge (Fuel Level Output)” going out to the gauge.

What happens inside the PCM with the fuel level signal before going out to the fuel gauge?

Thanks for the help. Wiring is not my strong suit.

Just splice those 2 wires together. Only reason they started going through pcm is to make the gauge move smoothly. Instead of bouncy like older gm
