If it has adjustment slots, they have been knocked out. The chewed up look is probably from someone hacking them out. This is what they look like from the factory.

Correct!
However, I believe this is 2WD only. The 4WD trucks come "pre punched" like the one on the right.... I wish they made a bronze sleeve to stick in there for the bolt though.... you can see in the history of my truck it took some hard hits and the bolts' edge gacked the edges inside those slots lol

Costs vs improvements..... Bad alignment and worn parts can eat up tires quickly as well as costing dearly at the pumps. For parts to do the work yourself figure on around $600 plus. If the control arm bushings are toast change them out: a good static alignment means nothing when your mounting points flex 1\2" under a dynamic load.

I feel your pain. I cant get the damn camber to stay put at all. about 3 days ater an alignments is back to how it was before. I have found the shops don't tighten the cam bolts enough. Its either a 13/16thw of a 3/4 I cant remember but take them with you and tighten them yourself in the parking lot before you drive the truck home after an alignment! also tighten up the tie rod sleeve bolts.

4WD doesn't come pre-punched. Recently just did al l of my front suspension and I needed to do the punch outs, after 180K miles they had never been by the previous owner(s).

My 4wd 2500 is not punched. My camber is barely, and i mean barely, out of spec, and me and my alignment guy decided its not worth the trouble to try and fix 1/2°

From someone that has had the factory bolts in hand, and a set of MOOG K6302 camber bolts in hand, I elected to use the factory ones after cleaning off the light corrosion with a wire wheel.

The inside shoulders on the factory washers are rounded, not so on the MOOG. The MOOG ones have a rough surface finish on the cam washers, where the factory ones are buttery smooth, this makes adjustment much easier, especially when you put a coat of anti-seize on them.

The factory camber bolts use a nut with a built in washer, the MOOG uses a regular nut and a lock washer. The threads on the factory bolts are also much better, they appear to be roll formed after the bolt is hardened.

The MOOG ones look like someone made them in a back room on a wood lathe... with a dull tool.
