6 lug 2500 LD completely different than 2500 8 Lug. The LD frame is just a 1500 frame with allegedly some extra frame braces. Here’s a question, did they ever make a LD C2500? Probably not, never heard of one.

My K2500 has a rating of 8600 lbs, when I ordered upper control arms ,I got the wrong ones as I missed that rating. So there are some minor differences. When looking for parts on rockauto and you click on fitment number, a list will tell you what it fits. For my truck if it fits a tahoe or yukon, it's not for my truck.

Or just order 8600 lbs. and not 7200 lbs.

Yes they did make a LD C2500. I’ve seen a couple of them. One was on marketplace. The guy was selling it as a C2500 RCLB with a 454/NV4500. I asked for the vin. “Z” gave it away, originally a 4.3 truck, ran it and confirmed it was a 2500. He never showed me photos of the transmission, I have my doubts it was a true NV4500.

Another time I saw an ECLB C2500 with a 4.3 and a 5 speed.

Edit: these were both 6 lug trucks.

3/4 tons can be harder to shop for due to the 7200 GVWR vs. 8600GVWR. A lot of times they will have this information for the part, though. I had a hell of a time picking out belltech suspension components when I first got my 8 lug. Sometimes you can get by with shopping for it by using a 1 ton, just make sure you verify fitment.

So there are 6 lug (light duty?) 2500s and 8 lug heavy duty 2500s? Mine's an 8 lug so HD. Anything else different between 6 and 8 lug - or just the suspension?
Yes...on pickups. 2500 Burbs were all heavy duty, the main difference is some have the semi floating 9.5" ring gear rear axle like yours, and some have the 10.5 ring gear full floating rear axle like the one tons got. I've seen them both ways; I would say the diesel or big block ones are more likely to get the FF. I know my '90 2500 Burb had the 9.5 in it, but was a 350/5.7 like your '99 is.

basically I'm doing a sas with a 4 link front and I'm going to use the stock 2wd spring pockets I have dana 60 front with spring pockets the perfect width already installed so all I need it radius arms or in my case a 4 link. But since use my truck(as a truck) a lot my idea was to get a frame to build the suspension on and swap my body over when that's done to limit down time. But I was hoping other frames would work because no one in my area has a single cab long bed frame but there are a few extended cab and crew cab short bed frames.
