I edited my earlier post about "choice" when ordering these cars. I forgot to add an interesting option that few may know about; the 36 gallon fuel tank - RPO N03. Only two...yes 2...1967 Corvettes left the factory with this option. Cross-country trips are a bit easier with 36 gallons of fuel, rather than the stock 20. At 10 - 15 mpg out of the 427 engines, you'd only get 200 miles or so out of a tank full. LOL

Here's a look at one from 1966...

Unfortunately, the author of this piece got the 1967 number wrong. It wasn't four. According to Chevrolet's own records, only two were built in '67.

I hope every American is proud of 69 years (since 1953) of exciting developments exhibited by the designers and builders of the Chevrolet Corvette. What a heritage marque!

Full transparency. I edited my earlier post about "choice" of options by changing the 16 gallon tank to 20 gallons. Why? Because my Canadian brain was thinking in the old Canadian gallons (Imperial measurement). 20 U.S. gallons = 16 Imperial gallons. My mistake.

Are these what's known as a "Tanker" Vette?

Big Red is a 1965 Corvette, with a few...um...modifications.

67HEAVEN, that is an amazing build you have there.
Talked to a local guy at gas station with a white C8, was in my truck at the time,
Told him, yeah, i'm a Corvette guy also, on my 4th vette now.
Hey said yeah, I have a 63 vert also, this is my 27th Corvette
I said cool, tucked my tail between my legs, and tried to disappear!!!
Felt like such a rookie
