flowmaster for a 305

so i have the stock exhaust on my 98 305, is it safe to assume the catalytic converter needs changing when i upgrade the exhaust? also what would be the best flowmaster and set up? i want a good throaty sound

i have a flowmaster 40 on my 98 305 with no cat and i love the sound of it its loud but has a verry nice rumble to it

Heres a vid of mine. 305, 40 series flowmaster with a turndown and i actually knocked out the back half of my cat cause it was rattling. i have not had any ses lights due to it and it did change the sound a little. i planning on getting a tailpipe run because I'm tired of the loudness in the cab.

I have a Flowmaster Super 40 single inlet/dual outlet on 'Lola'. She sounds nice and throaty but, on a long trip.....
